Verizon Wireless to launching HP Mini 1151NR netbook on May 17th?

It seems Verizon (NYSE: VZ) Wireless is gears toward launch not 1 but two cool products on May 17th. We’ve already mentioned the portable 3G hotspot gimmick MiFi 2200, and now we’re hearing the carrier volition also unveil the HP Mini 1151NR netbook with integrated EV-DO radio.

The badness news is the rumored monetary value. Apparently, Verizon volition ask $199 for the netbook on a two-year contract bridge. Bare in head that this contract bridge involves monthly monetary value of at least $40, which makes the total monetary value of possession of the HP Mini astronomical. This seems like a deal designed for those who already thought about purchasing a netbook, but needed a understanding more to pushing the push button. Well, now you got it, though it would make more sense if Verizon could crack HP’s baby for hundred bucks. That would shuffle the trade much sweeter…
