<p>Sprint announced today that Samsung Telecommunications America (Samsung Mobile) agreed to be a Premier Sponsor for its 11th annual Open Solutions Conference and will be giving the first 1,500 registered attendees a free Nexus S(TM) 4G from Google(TM) device with one month of service.*

<p>Near Field Communication (NFC) is engineering that allows consumers to simply tap their NFC-capable gimmick, such as a radio phone, near an NFC reader to obtain information or to use it as a credit card or mobile wallet. Sprint, together with Google, is the first U.S. carrier to roll out an app &#8212; Google Wallet &#8212; using NFC capability for purchases in retail stores.

Attendees will be able to use their Nexus S 4G device to obtain information from sponsors, exhibits and at breakout sessions eliminating the need for brochures and paper materials. Each booth in the convention centre will have an NFC tag or smart poster that will allow participants to tap and receive product or service information.
