Moto sells its Israeli net to cable television company HOT
We’ve already talked about Motorola’s plans to sell its Israeli mobile net – Mirs Communication, and we said Partner Communications is seen as a potential buyer for the stage business. All the speculations are now definitely over as Motorola (New York Stock Exchange: MOT) has agreed to sell its iDEN-based aircraft carrier to the local anesthetic cable television TV hustler HOT for $170 1000000 in immediate payment. The dealing has been made by Cool Holding, French people businessman Saint Patrick Drahi’s investiture fomite, which holds a 44% stake in HOT.
According to reports, Drahi is interested in combination Mirs and HOT to create a challenger to the Israeli fixed-line officeholder – Bezeq.
For the record, Mirst is State of Israel’s smallest mobile net, with 582,000 connections at the end of the third stern of 2009. That figure gave the troupe a 6% market share…
