Mobile TeleSystems Unveil 3G Network in Moscow
MTS, aka Mobile TeleSystems has launched the first phase of its 3G net in Moscow. The network was launched in 1 of the largest exhibition halls in the metropolis (and eastern Europe) named ‘Expocentre’. The exposition anteroom is now blanketed with a WCDMA net providing expo-goers with download speeds of up to 3.6 Mbps.
With this net now in place, MTS now plans to launching more 3G networks in the 35 largest stage business and shopping centers this year. Sounds like they’ll be busy. The enlargement will also include 3G speeds for the Domodedovo International Airport, and some surrounding cities in the Moscow region including Noginsk.
Did I honorable mention MTS is going to expand its 3G network to the metro railways in Moscow as well? Yep, they’ve received license to do so and employment on a test network volition begin shortly if it hasn’t already.
