GPhone: T-Mobile Acknowledges Android Device, Google to Sell Exclusively Online
We’ve seen plenteousness of the HTC Nexus One (A.K.A Passion), reported to be the One True android_catches_palm_os_in_us_operating_systems_market_share.html’ title=’March Mobile River Metrics Report Released by AdMob… Android Catches Palm OS in US Operating Systems Market Share’>Google (NSDQ: GOOG) Phone, but excursus from T-Mobile River (NYSE: DT)’s participation, we really didn’t know who would be oblation what. Rumours swirled that Google be subsidizing the handset and offering it unlocked, but nonentity substantial proved the fact. Today, T-Mobile River has internally acknowledged that, yes, Google will be helping them launch an Android twist in January (likely the 5th., according to event invites), and yes, it will be sold exclusively by Google online. The Nexus One branding is nowhere to be seen here, so who knows if they’ve changed the epithet, or if it’s II different handsets altogether. To further cementum the equivocalness, the dock’s FCC filing refers to it as the Google Phone in some places, and Nexus One in others. As for the workload, T-Mobile River will handgrip billing, reportage, features and pace plans for buyers, piece HTC and Google take care of support and exchanges. Whatever happens, we looking at forward to seeing what the level is with this twist next week at CES.
